Ipsy May 2016-Glam Bag Review

I can honestly say that Ipsy you did not let me down with this GlamBag!! First, in my humble opinion, no bag can go wrong when it includes a makeup brush!  So here are my thoughts on a few of the items.  Some I have not tried yet, like the mask!!

Jelly Pong Pong Cosmetics-Caribbean Sun Bronzer Duo

I will admit, I am pretty impressed with this little duo.  The colors go great with my complexion.  I use the darker one for contouring my cheeks and the lighter one as a little extra color for a glow.  The formula is very nice, it is very pigmented and it blends very nice.  I really like this product. On a scale 1-10, I will give it a "10"

INSPR Beauty Eye Fluff Brush

I am sorry but you CANNOT go wrong by getting any kind of makeup brush in your GlamBags.  Maybe not everyone thinks that way, but to a makeup brush junkie, this was a great addition to the bag! This brush has very soft bristles, it blends your eye-shadow like a dream and it is a light brush so it is not bulky in your hand.  On a scale 1-10, I will give it "10"

IT Cosmetics and Smashbox

There are two of my favorite products.  I have used them for a while so this was a great addition to the May GlamBag!! The smashbox mascara gives your lashes a fantastic length, and the IT gel pencil works fantastic on the water-liner.  Just to give it a little more staying power.. if you line your water rim, than go over it with a black eye-shadow, the liner will last all day!!  Both of these products get a '10' from me.. love them both!

Beauty Haul April 15 2016

OMG!! What a week for New Makeup Products

Okay, this week has been one of those weeks, that makeup up was showing up everywhere I turned around. I mean seriously.. it is has been a Makeup Junkies Dream!  Well, starting out this week, I got my Ipsy Monthly Subscription bag.. that is always a huge treat.  I wrote about it on my post Woo-Hoo It is Ipsy April Glambag- Let's see we got a Buxom Lipstick, Luxie highlighter brush, Nudestix, truffle serum and hair oil.  

Smashbox Double Exposure Eye-shadow Pallet

This is really cool.  This eye-shadow pallet was on sale, and I had never tried smashbox eye-shadows before so I thought okay, here is an opportunity to try them.  With this pallet you can wear the shadows dry or wet for a more richer and bolder.  I really love-the texture of these eye-shadows-they feel like velvet going on. For me, the colors are perfect dry, that is not to say I will never wear them wet. The pigmentation dry is beautiful and very soft. The top row is perfect for your eye lids and under your brow bone, and the bottom row is great for your crease and smoking your eyes. It was a good investment plus now I can say I have tried and really like Smashbox eye-shadows.

Kat Von D-Everlasting Liquid Lipstick-Lolita-2

I am just not sure what else to say about Kat Von D Everlasting Liquid Lipsticks-it is among my favorites!! This is a new shade I ordered and at first I was a little worried because I already have Lolita-which is a brownish rose color.. so I was hoping this would be the true terra cotta it said in the description. It is and I love it.  As with all of Kat Von D Everlasting Liquid sticks, they are very light on your lips, very long wearing and very pigmented. You can not go wrong with the Everlasting Liquid Lipsticks!

Kat Von D-Ink Liner Trio

I have battled over this decision for over a month now.  I am a huge fan of Kat Von D Ink liner in trooper.  So I was debating if I wanted to get another Trooper, or spend a few more dollars and get this ink trio.  This set, has three mini eyeliners: 1-brown, 1-blue and 1-black. I decided to get this set instead of just getting another trooper, because I wanted to test her other colors.  I am loving the blue which is called Baudelaire. It is a dark navy blue and just in case you did not know this, if you have brown eyes, blue liners, mascara and water rim liners look fantastic!! All of her liners I have used, are long wearing, very pigmented and with the tops you are able to get the perfect line.

ColourPop Gel Eyeliners

Let me start off by saying two things: 1-I have never used ColourPop before this week 2-You will be hearing a lot about their products from me! I actually decided to try the products after watching a couple different makeup guru's go on about how good the products were. Here is what I love best... well, actually two things again!! 1-The products are beyond fantastic. The gel eyeliners are very pigmented, very-very long wearing and the product does NOT irritate your eyes. Most of you know, I have been searching for the Holy Grail of water rim eyeliners... I think I may have found it. 2-THEY ARE FREAKING SO REASONABLE it is unbelievable!!

ColourPop Lippie Pencils and ColourPop Ultra Matte Lip

The color I am wearing in this photo is called 'Highball' and I am wearing 'I Heart This' Lippie Pencil. The lip color and pencils are VERY pigmented, VERY long wearing and VERY light on your lips. They are without a doubt very KISS PROOF. Are you ready for this!!!  The Ultra Matte Lipstick which comes in a regular size tube is $6.00 and the Lippie pencils $5.00!! Oh, yes, this girl placed another order and hopefully it will be here by next week-Yes, I do believe I found a brand I am going to really love to write about. 

This is basically my beauty haul for this week.  I do have another item, but I am still debating and testing it. I want to make sure I am in love with it before writing about it... I will admit, if you like sparkles, this product will be for you.

Woo-Hoo It is Ipsy April Glambag Day

Yes, Eva there is a Fairy Makeup Queen!!!   

I got my Ipsy bag today and I have to tell you... when a makeup junkie gets anything makeup in the mail it is a WOO-HOO kind of day! Do you wanna see what I got, huh? I can't hear you... I said do you wanna what I got??????? Okay, enough playing around, let me get serious now... damn it is boring being serious so, excuse me while I kiss my Ipsy Dream Bag!! 

So (okay I knew before hand because I peeked) when I opened my April Ipsy Glambag my heart went pitter-batter!! I LOVE,  I repeat I LOVE when I get makeup brushes in my monthly makeup subscriptions. What can I say, I love makeup brushes so much, I have so many and I can and will never have enough of them! But rewind........ let me start at the beginning!!

This month the theme is Dreamers-the bag is absolutely beautiful!! And who does not like anything with the them "Dream"?? 

When it comes to Luxie brushes, they have my few vote. I have another brush that is a contour brush and it is pink and it works like a charm contouring your face. The bristles hold just enough product and when you brush it across your face, it feels like velvet. These brushes are the best!! On a scale 1-10 No Doubt a '10'

What can I say.. it is a bandanna kinda day *winks* Okay... check out this lip color. I have only tried one other buxom lip product and I believe it was a gloss.  I am really liking this color.. the lip product is soft, light and to be honest if I had to describe it in one word.. it would be YUMMY!!  I am pretty impressed with this lip item, considering I am a lip stain kinda girl.  Here is what impressed me the most, I blotted my lips several times because I wanted to see how much would come off.. yes, some did, but man I still have color on the lips.  Yep, I like this product!  One a scale 1-10 No doubt a '10'

Once I test the other products, I will revise this post.. for now once again I will say it, Ipsy, you are truly amazing me.. KEEP UP the great collections!!

Kitten Heels Loves Ipsy MarchGlam

Well, Ipsy, you did again, very nice March 2016 Glam Bag! I was so excited because we're getting an NYX Liquid Suede, when I seen the color, I thought wow, that looks familiar but I was overwhelmed with excitement because my bag was going to include one in it!! *Big Sigh* I had to purchase Kitten Heel a few months back.. it is a very good red lipstick!

NYX Liquid Suede

I am just going to start here because this product is one of my favorites.  I started wearing NYX Liquid Suede a few months ago.  It is a stain, it does stay put and it does feel good on your lips.  I especially like this color: Kitten Heels, the red has a yellow undertone which goes good with my neutral complexion. They have several different colors. I promise you will fall in love with this product.  IF YOU DO, be sure to check out their color Amethyst, it is a rich bright purple color! On a scale 1-10  No Doubt a 10!!

Illamasqua Precision Ink 

One of the things I really liked about this eyeliner is although it has a brush applicator, it is really a little firm not as hard as a felt-tip but pretty firm for a brush.  I really like applying my liner with that kind of brush.  The color is rich, it really is a nice liner. It just would not be my favorite one because I do like felt-tip liners. On a scale 1-10 I have to say a 7.5

Organic Surge Daily Care

I am a 100% Lavender freak! I love the smell, I love how it relaxes you;  to be honest there is not anything I do not like about lavender.  This hand cream totally rocks! It smells fantastic, the texture is very nice, it absorbs into your skin very fast and it leaves your skin feeling like silk.  I cannot wait to check out their website!!  On a scale 1-10 this is no doubt a 10!! 

Mellow Cosmetic's

I love, love, love this product!! First thing right off of the bat, is the color is beautiful! It is a good color for my complexion, it does not have too much orange or red.. it is just right for me!  It is a matte which is perfect for mature skin (which I have), the texture of this powder is great.  Yeah, I am looking forward to seeing what else the company has.  On a scale 1-10 no doubt a 10!!

Vera Mona Lotus Eyeshadow

This is just plane out cute!! I know you want to hear about the product.  This color is called Clover. It is a very pretty color, it is shimmery but does well on the eyelids, especially if you have hooded eyelids...this color brings out your lids.  I also used it in the corner of my eyes just to add a little something extra.  The texture is really nice, to me, it almost felt like it was hydrated or something.  The only problem I have with this shadow is it is so shimmery.  It would be perfect in matte form and/or for younger eyes.. it is just not a shadow I would personally buy.  Very nice product though. On a scale 1-10 I am going to go with an 8.

February 2016 Ipsy Review

So here it is, my review on my February 2016 Ipsy Package!! Needless to say, I loved my package this month. It is my first one and I am truly looking forward to seeing others!!.  So I am going to give you "Ipsy" a "10" this month. The package was truly worth the $10 subscription price.  I cannot wait to see what you have planned for next month!! Smashbox- Photo Finish Primer Oil

I am pretty excited about this primer.. This primer has 15 different oil combinations including jojoba, chamomile and Lavender oils.  It smells fantastic!  I have been reading a lot of the reviews and many women are talking about how good it feels on their mature skin.  I am also reading that many women will take a drop the oil and add it to their foundation.  This primer helps to reduce the appearance of dry fine lines and it absorbs quickly.

I did a patch test on my chin, it did absorb fast. I added a little foundation over the same area and it felt amazing.  I am very impressed with the way it makes my skin feel. Yes, I have mature skin and especially during the colder months my skin gets extremely dry! I will be applying this to my whole fast the next time I do a full face makeup.  So far on a scale 1-10 I would rate this an easy 10

Mr. Write Now Eyeliner by: The Balm

Okay, let's just start right here... this eyeliner alone cost MORE than the monthly subscription for Ipsy! Yes, this eyeliner cost $17.00 retail.. so automatically this is a great thing! It has staying power like W.O.W. Since I have brown eyes, this color goes with my eyes great!  It is a gold bronze color that is truly so beautiful!! The tip will remain sharp because it has a built in sharpener. Did I mention it glides on beautifully?   I already love this liner, the place I tested the color on my hand has not moved!! So yeah, it for sure has staying power! And  last but not least, it can be used on the waterline too!! On a scale 1-10  No doubting it easy "10"

SeraphineBotanicals-Carrot and Rose Hydrating Cream

LOVE it!! When I first opened my Ipsy package, this was the first product I picked up, opened and immediately put on my hands. To me... it smells beyond wonderful!! It is a light hydrating cream that can be used on your body and your face.  It is Vegan, GMO and Gluten free, this company does NOT test on animals!! I am telling you from experience, this cream is NOT sticky, it absorbs into your skin fast and it leaves your skin feeling like silk.. on a scale 1-10 I easily give it a 10!!

tre'Stique Baby Blush Stick

Can we say awwwwww!!!!! The packaging is so darn cute!!  I am only going to share this because I know I am NOT the only person who did this. When I opened my Ipsy cosmetic bag and pulled out this blush stick I kept searching for the top and/or lid. Yeah, I did not know the lid was on it because it looks just like the product so... okay you got me there! 

This is a beautiful cream gel blush that glides across your face leaving feeling silky with a little color.  I absolutely love it!  The color Ipsy sent was Bora Bora Coral. It goes really good with my skin tone.  I draw a few lines on the apple of my cheeks and used a blush brush and blended it in. It gives you a soft tint, not hard and rough looking.  I am actually considering purchasing the full size of this blush.  The full size has a little contour brush on the other end of it which would make the application even easier. On a scale 1-10 yeah, easily a "10"!!

Naked Cosmetics- Sierra Nevada

Tell me a girl who does not love sparkles and I will do a flip for you! This gold powder is very, very fine and so beautiful!  I read this article about a Goth look I absolutely love.. it is where you add sparkles to a dark lipstick.. so wanting to test this product, I put on one of Kat Von D's very pink lip-stain and took a brush and added this gold powder to the middle of my lips.. OMG, it worked great.  The more I looked around on their site, I figured out this powder can be added to a clear base and can be used for lips, eyes, skin and/or if you add some to some hair gel, you could even use it like that (at least I would)!
