Shea Moisture-Super fruit Multi-Vitamin Leave In Detangler with Marula Oil

Recently, I have started using Shea moisture products and I have absolutely been loving the brand.  I have very long curly hair topped with the wonderful aging process of getting older, so I am always on the look out for good natural products that are healthy for my hair and my skin.

Shea Moisture Super Fruit Multi-Vitamin Leave In Detangler with Marula Oil and Biotin is my newest product I have been using. I honestly cannot comb out my hair without using a detangler and a detangler comb.  So I purchased this product as a trail run and I have fallen in love with it since I have been using it. 

The Shea Moisture Company was started in 1912 by Sofi Tucker who started out selling Shea Nuts at a village in Bonthe Sierra Leone.  Soon she was selling her skin care and hair care products throughout the country side. 

This product conditions, softens, detangles, hydrates, nourishes and protects your hair.  That is not all the product does  but these are things I am experiencing on my own hair after using the product.  This Leave In Detangler is a beautiful blend of berries such as red raspberries, goji, acari and guava extracts.  All of which are rich in protective antioxidants. Marula oil provides fatty acids and is rich in Omega-9 that deeply hydrates your hair.  And the Biotin is multi-vitamins that nourishes your hair.

SheaMoisture products are sulfate, paraben and phthalaties free.  There is no propylene glycol or mineral oil in the product and there are is NO animal testing!!

I apply about a quarter size amount of the detangler to my hand and massage it into my damp hair;  I start at the roots and work down to my ends. I let it set for just a minute or so and than I proceed with my detangler comb.  If you have stubborn knots, add a little more detangler and you are set to go.

The end results is my hair feels more healthier than it has in a long time.  This is a product I would highly recommend trying especially if you are in the 'mature' age range.

My Urban Decay Beauty Haul

Yes, World I am new to Urban Decay

Unlike many people in the world of makeup I am really new to Urban Decay makeup.  A while back I have tried their 24/7 eye liner pencils, which I just remembered as I was preparing for this post.  Recently I have tried and share my experience with the new limited edition eye shadow palette 'Alice Through the Looking Glass' when I wrote, I Jumped Into the Rabbit Hole.  I have fallen in love with their eye shadow so I wanted to try some of their other things and I just wanted to share them with you.

Urban Decay B-6 Prep Spray

One of my favorite finds is the Urban Decay B-6 Vitamin Infused Complexion Prep Spray. This is a very unique fine mist that can be used as a prep spray or an anytime fast refreshing spray.  This tropical B-6 spray absorbs oil, minimizes pores and reduces redness and it is great for all skin types.  The vitamin E in it provides antioxidants and the willow bark aids cell turn over. This B-6 Prep Spray is also oil and paraben free!

When I first purchased this product, I ordered a sample size and almost automatically fell in love with it.  I knew I would make it a natural part of skin care regime because of the way it makes my feel and look.  When you first spray the mist onto your skin, you feel a cooling affect.  The scent to me is light with a slight refreshing scent, like how the air smells after a summer rain.  I love how it makes my face feel hydrated and healthy.  A lot of clinically proven test gear towards a high percentage of wonderful changes to your skin after using the product for 8 weeks.

Now in some form or another most of us are looking for a magical primer that makes everything okay on our face.  Okay, maybe a slight exaggeration, but we do use a lot of different primers for different reasons.  Eye Primer to make our eye shadow last longer, lip primer to make our lipstick last longer, and face primer so our makeup goes on smooth and last.  But the main reason for all of them is to make our makeup last longer.

My main reason in getting this pencil was because I was looking for a good lip primer that did not make my lips feel hard. This is a clear thick barreled pencil that actually has multi uses.   It is designed to hold your lipstick in place and to prevent it from feathering.  You can also use this pencil to fill in FINE lines and you can use it for correcting mistakes.  Have you ever applied your lipstick and it looks perfect except for a tiny little spot that most likely no one would ever notice but you do?  This stick is also used to sharpen your lipstick edge and clean up little mistakes if you need to.  The formula is enriched with jojoba and it is paraben free.  

Along with my haul I tried New Skin Concealer for the first time and fell in love with it, along with a beautiful blush called bittersweet-which is a beautiful purple and goes on soft and light and would look great on most complexions. I love it!! I also picked up their Anti-Aging Eye Primer, which I hope to write a review on at a later date.

Shea Moisture Hydrating Mud Mask

Hydrating Mud Mask for Dry Skin

As most of you know who reads my blog post, my latest obsession is with facial mask.  I have already written two other post Shea Moisture Mud Mask and Over Night Facial Mask. The review I am getting ready to write is about another mask I found in the Shea Moisture family called Raw Shea-butter Hydrating Mud Mask. 

Let me start by saying this hydrating mud mask has no sulfates, parabins, phthalates, polypropylene Glycerol, mineral oil and is NOT tested on animals.  Just in case anyone may be wondering Sulfates is a cleansing and foaming agent that are found a lot in items such as body washes and toothpaste.  Parabens are chemicals that prevent bacteria and as a preservative in lotions and other items.  Parabens have been used in product as a preservative since 1950's.  Propylene Glycol is a form of liquid alcohol that is used as a solvent in items such as antifreeze, plastics, foods and perfume companies.

This mud mask purifies the skin as it hydrates.  The certified organic Shea butter adds moisture, softens and restores the skin. The Frankincense and Myrrh extracts helps to soothe the skin making it look smoother and refreshed.

You apply a thin layer of the mud mask to your face avoiding the eye area.  Leave it on 10 minutes than remove it with a damp warm cloth.  As I was removing the mask I could see a huge difference on my skin almost immediately.  I am a huge fan of Frankincense and Myrrh so for me, this mask smells so nice that it is very relaxing and calming with its aromatherapy properties. 

If you have dry skin this is a must try product.  My face has never felt so smooth and looked so healthy.  An extra benefit of these ingredients are all of the vitamins and fatty acids the ingredients are filled with.

Milani Makeup Haul

I believe throughout the years I may have tried Milani's nail polish because there was this color that my sister-in-law loved she much that is all she would wear.  She ended up getting me a bottle for Christmas or visa-versa, besides that I am not sure I have tried any of their products.

Milani Powdered Blush-Flora Passion

There are a ton of reviews out about Milani Makeup so I thought I would order a few things from their site and see what I thought.  I was on Twitter and seen this beautiful blush that was in the shape of a rose in the compact, and I just had to check it out further.  Come to find out it was a Milani Blush and I found their site and ordered it.

I am actually really impressed with this blush. I ordered Flora Passion which is a Medium Tone Mauve color and/or a light Rose Color.  The blush goes on beautiful, it is not heavy and so pigmented that you need to be extremely light on the usage.  All in All I like this blush and on a scale 1-10 I would give it a '10'

Milani Lip Creme-Amore Matte-Allure

Another item I have seen a few reviews about is their lipstick or should I say, Milani Lip Creme which I got in the color Amore Matte-Allure.  The Amore is a beautiful rich rose color that goes perfect with the blush I ordered. 

The lipstick (or lip Creme) goes on very smooth and creamy.  I love the applicator which is not a doe foot but instead somewhat flat on both sides. It makes for an easy application and it is always easy to line your lips.  The color is pigmented so it only takes one application to have a rich beautiful color. It does take a few minutes to dry and when it does it dries Matte which I love!  It is long wearing...now ever since I found the tip about using press powder on your lipstick, I have been doing that. So there is no transfer and with the powder it is kiss proof!  I like this lip creme well enough that I will be ordering some additional colors. So on a scale 1-10 I give it an easy '10'

Milani Moisture Lock Lip Treatment-Rose Hip Oil Infused

Along with all of my other obsession, lip treatments is among my list of products.  Milani has several lip treatments so I decided to try one and give my thoughts on that as well. In the lip treatment I ended up getting the Rose Hip oil Repair Treatment that also contains primrose.

I used it after doing my night cleansing routine and this morning my lips felt smooth, soft and truly healthy.  I have a very hard time with my lips, products usually do not work, but this little gem worked like a charm!  The applicator is very different than what I am use to.  It is a larger applicator that is some what roundish.  I REALLY liked it a lot!  This is one product I would highly recommend and I intend to keep it part of nightly cleansing routine.  On a scale 1-10 I would give it a '15' if I could.. instead I give it a full '10'.
