Three Sephora Makeup Brushes Must Have's
It is no secret I love makeup brushes and I have learned a lot, (yes I repeating) a lot about them in the past months. Regardless, of what anyone ever tries to tell you.. SIZE does matter when it comes to makeup brushes.. not only SIZE but the STYLE as well. There was a time when no one would ever be able to convince me that there was a huge difference in makeup brushes, not to mention the different application results. I am very serious.. I use to think it was all a way to get people to spend more money. My oldest makeup brush is from the 80's and it was one of my Maybelline's eye-shadow brush which I used for everything. The sad part, I still use it today!!
If you watch the videos of the Makeup Guru's on YouTube, you will hear them mention all different brands of brushes and styles. Some I do agree would be and are great.. others I am not too sure about. Here is what I do know for sure, when I see specialty brushes on sale especially on Sephora, I will try and get one.. which leads me to this reason of this post.
As I mention in my post IT CC Cream Sample Won me Over, I cannot apply my foundation with a makeup beauty blender! Yes, I used it damp, yes I tried patting the foundation down, yes, I ended up with a huge mess on my face that made my makeup cake and uneven. So I decided to start using a fantastic new foundation brush from Sephora's. This brush was not on sale when I got it, but after reading the reviews, I decided to give it a try. In the photo I am calling it a foundation brush: The actual name is: PRO Press Full Coverage Complexion Brush #66. It is the BEST brush I have used to apply foundation. It has a very short condensed head that gives you the best coverage ever without using a huge amount of foundation.
The other two brushes were on sale the Angel Eyebrow Brush and the Tight Line Brush. Now, I believe they were less $10 each but well worth it. The Tight Line Brush is perfect if you want to detail your lips, or line your eye at the very lash line. I personally use it for detailing my lips if by chance my lipstick gets a little off track. The eyebrow angel brush is the best thing every invented. I started using a dry eyebrow powder over my Chella Eyebrow Pencil to fill in any gaps.
Not only are Sephora brush, well made, but each brush I have came with this plastic snap cover that protects the head of the brush. THAT alone is a fantastic feature. I would highly recommend Sephora brushes.. if YOU ever get the opportunity, try the PRO Press Full Coverage Brush especially those with mature skin... you will be able to tell a huge difference in your foundation application. That I promise you!!
